Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis partisipasi masyarakat Desa Poopo Barat, Kecamatan Ranoyapo, Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan dalam Pemilu 2024, mengeksplorasi situasi politik lokal, tingkat pengenalan terhadap kandidat, dan upaya peningkatan partisipasi. Metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam dan observasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dari masyarakat desa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa situasi politik di Desa Poopo Barat relatif stabil dengan penyelenggaraan pemilu yang tertib, namun tingkat partisipasi masyarakat masih memerlukan peningkatan. Masyarakat memiliki pengenalan yang cukup baik terhadap calon presiden, wakil presiden, dan legislatif melalui media televisi, diskusi informal, dan strategi kampanye grassroot. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi, termasuk kampanye penyuluhan politik dan sosialisasi hak-hak politik oleh pemerintah desa. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan partisipasi politik memerlukan pendekatan komprehensif yang tidak hanya mobilisasi kuantitatif tetapi juga peningkatan kualitas pemahaman politik masyarakat melalui pendidikan kewarganegaraan dan kolaborasi multi-stakeholder untuk memperkuat demokrasi di tingkat lokal.
