This study aims to analyze how to improve students’ art skills through photo frame crafts made from ice cream sticks. The method used is qualitative with a literature review, involving the collection and analysis of various sources related to applied visual arts learning, children’s creativity, and simple handicrafts. The findings indicate that making photo frames from ice cream sticks is an effective medium to develop creativity, fine motor skills, and understanding of visual art elements such as shape, color, and texture. The literature also shows that simple craft activities can enhance students’ self-confidence, accuracy, and teamwork. Therefore, photo frame crafts from ice cream sticks are recommended as a practical and engaging learning medium for visual arts in elementary schools.
