Analisis Rancangan Media Pembelajaran Kotak Siang dan Malam pada Mata Pelajaran IPAS Sekolah Dasar

This study aims to design a creative learning media, "Kotak Siang dan Malam" (Day and Night Box), to facilitate students' understanding of the rotation of the Earth and the concept of day and night in IPAS (Integrated Science) learning. The media is designed to be interactive, visual, and easy to use, made from simple materials such as Styrofoam, balls, paper, glue, scissors, and a flashlight. The media consists of two parts, one representing day and the other representing night, with a replica of the Earth in the middle. The study employs a qualitative research method, involving observation, interviews, and a descriptive analysis of the media design process. The results show that the "Kotak Siang dan Malam" media is effective in helping students understand the concept of day and night, and the rotation of the Earth. The media encourages students to participate actively in the learning process, ask questions, and think critically. The study suggests that the "Kotak Siang dan Malam" media can be used as a learning tool in IPAS education to improve students' understanding of scientific concepts and promote interactive learning. The study contributes to the development of innovative learning media that can enhance the quality of education in Indonesia.
