Abstrak

Multiplication board media is a tool used to convey repetitive multiplication material, by using multiplication board media can train children to think quickly and more easily in understanding the concept of multiplication. At the age of elementary school students (7-8 years to 12-13 years). According to Piaget's cognitive theory, it is included in the concrete operational stage. Based on this cognitive development, elementary school age children generally have difficulty understanding abstract mathematics. The results of the comparison of students who understand mathematics subjects are 40%, while most students who do not understand are 60%. Through this multiplication board media, it is hoped that grade III students will be able to think actively in understanding the concept of multiplication so that students can improve their mathematics learning outcomes.
