Pengembangan Media Box Hitung dalam Pembelajaran Matematika pada Materi Penjumlahan dan Pengurangan

This study aims to develop Media Box Calculation as an innovative learning media to help elementary school students understand addition and subtraction operations. This media is designed using simple materials such as used cardboard, styrofoam, ice cream sticks, buffalo paper, pictures, and toothpicks. so that it is easy to make and visually attractive. The study used a demonstration method, where researchers demonstrated the steps for using the media directly. The results showed that Media Box Calculation was effective in improving students' understanding of basic mathematical concepts, especially addition and subtraction operations. In addition, this media is also able to increase students' interest in learning through a visual approach and direct practice, so that learning becomes more interactive and enjoyable. This media not only helps students understand the material better but also encourages them to be more active in the learning process. This study recommends further development of similar media to be applied to other materials, in order to support more creative and innovative learning, especially at the elementary school level.
