Abstrak

The use of innovative learning media is very important in increasing students' understanding of mathematical concepts. One effective approach is the use of mathematical market media, namely market simulation-based media that integrates buying and selling activities with mathematical concepts. This media is designed to create an interactive, fun and contextual learning atmosphere, so that students can understand the applications of mathematics in everyday life.

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the mathematics media market in improving students' abilities in cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. This media utilizes a mini market model, where students act as sellers and buyers. They use mathematical skills, such as arithmetic operations, percentages, and measurements, to complete transactions. This approach provides a meaningful learning experience and involves active student participation.

The research results show that the use of market mathematics media significantly increases students' conceptual understanding, especially in arithmetic operations and problem solving. In addition, students show increased motivation to learn and the ability to work together in groups. Teachers also report that this media makes the teaching process easier and creates a more dynamic classroom atmosphere.

In conclusion, the mathematics media market is an effective learning alternative for improving the quality of mathematics education. Integrating contextual activities like this can help students understand the relevance of mathematics in everyday life and encourage more meaningful learning.
